Paul Thacker Update 11-11
// November 29th, 2011 // News
Hello all, PT checking in here! Wow what a busy fall! I have been all over the country from Vegas to LA to San Diego to Orlando with some Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois and Alaska mixed in! Definitely not letting this little injury slow me down!!
Started with spending a little time in AK for the 4th annual Fall Classic Kenai River fishing trip. As usual Reel adventures treated us right and we had an amazing time. Good friends, good fishing and a few adult beverages to spice up the fish stories always make for a great time!
Next stop was San Francisco for a photo/video shoot for Ekso Bionics (formerly Berkeley Bionics). Spend 3 or 4 days in makeup and wardrobe and got some great shots! God knows I could use a little make up haha!
After a brief trip back to AK I headed to LA for my 1st ever trip to the Playboy Mansion! Now I won’t say much but it was definitely an experience…. Including my grand entrance as I thought I could go down the stairs in my chair and ended me up on my head in front of the entire party… Standard right? Haha
After LA and a little recovery time I headed to San Diego for the TEMED Conference to do some demos for the ekso (elegs). What an amazing conf. Some of the most brilliant minds in medicine where there presenting and showcasing new technology. It was a great time and the weather in San Diego needless to say pretty much rules!
After a long weekend in Vegas for Halloween….and yes it was an amazing time. I headed to Chicago for the resurrected Red Bull Fuel and Fury at Wrigley Field. I was invited as a judge and the talent as well as the city did not disappoint. Daniel Bodine and Heath Frisby duked it out in the final and it was Daniel who was on his game with a flawless run. Jimmy Blaze rode better than I ever thought possible and Cory Davis and Jeff Mullin ripped it up as well. Definitely a great weekend with friends and fans.
After Chicago it was back to Vegas for a few days, then the short drive over to Phoenix for a little NASCAR action! The race was fantastic with Carl Edwards and Tony Stewart setting up the final race of the year by running one and two most of the race! Another stellar weekend!!
I just got back from Orlando FL for another big conf for the ekso (Elegs). Ekso Bionics is definitely putting me to work and I had a couple of days were I was standing and walking for 5 or 6 hours! Good times for sure!
Needless to say things are getting or shall I say staying crazy busy and only looking to get worse after the New Year!! Sometime I have to slow down so I can actually go riding!!
Until next time….Keep ripping!
